The Mount Pleasant Municipal Planning Commission will hold its regularly scheduled meeting in the Tom Hardin Room at Mount Pleasant City Hall on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. The following items will be on the agenda:                                                                                 

1.      Final Plat Approval - Owners, Marie Buchanan, Lois Osborn, Patricia Davis, Vivian Potts property identified as Walnut St. Tax Map 133G F Parcel 007.00 being legally recorded in Deed Book R1826 Page 1267 on file at the Register of Deeds Office. Request is to consolidate (4) four tracts into (1) one tract, property is zoned R2 – Medium Density Residential.                           

2.      Howard Street Traffic Flow - Resolution 2024-PC-02 – A Resolution for recommendation to convert traffic flow on Howard Street in the City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, one-way southwest to one-way northeast, and described more accurately within the body of this resolution.                                

3.      Public Square Street Closure - Resolution 2024-PC-03 – A Resolution for recommendation to vacate part of Public Square Street in the City of Mount Pleasant Public Square.    

The public is cordially invited to attend, there will be an opportunity for people to make comments.


The Mount Pleasant City Commission will meet in regular session on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the Tom Hardin Room at City Hall. 

The following items will be on the agenda for public hearing, discussion and approval:

a.  Ordinance 2024-1122 – (Public Hearing/Final Reading) - An Ordinance to convert traffic flow on Howard Street in the City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, one-way southwest to one-way      northeast, and described more accurately within the body of this ordinance.

b.  Ordinance 2024-1123 – (Public Hearing/Final Reading) - An Ordinance to vacate part of Public     Square Street in the City of Mount Pleasant Public Square. 

The public is invited to attend this meeting.  This notice is given as provided in T.C.A., §8-44-103. There will be an opportunity for the public to make comments. Anyone wanting to speak on an agenda item listed may do so by signing up before the meeting begins.


The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee is held at 6:00 p.m. on the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month at the Mount Pleasant City Hall in the Tom Hardin Room. 

For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024 the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners will be held on the following dates:

The public is invited to attend the City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee Regular Board meetings.


The City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, Board of Commissioners will conduct Study Sessions at 6:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners each month.                

Study Sessions will be held at the Mount Pleasant City Hall in the Tom Hardin Room for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024, these Study Sessions will be held on the following dates:
